Western Galilee

Green villages between the hills and the sea.

Kfar Vradim is known as the Village of Roses.

Render

Dreaming of a private home in Israel, with a large garden in a quiet green neighborhood? The Western Galilee is where many people find it. Kfar Vradim, founded in 1984, is a planned village of homes and gardens in the hills. Shlomi, near the coast and Rosh HaNikra, is building a new neighborhood of detached homes at Yaarit.

Both are within reach of Nahariya’s beaches, train and hospital, and of the industrial parks at Tefen and Bar-Lev.

Don’t miss

  • Kfar Vradim’s green, walkable streets
  • The northern coast and Rosh HaNikra
  • Galilee Medical Center in nearby Nahariya

Why people choose Western Galilee

Quality of life

Quiet streets, private gardens and hills on every side, with the coast a short drive away.

Community

Kfar Vradim offers secular, religious-Zionist and Haredi schools and an active community center. Shlomi is a small town growing again, with young families in its new Yaarit neighborhood.

Value for money

Kfar Vradim is the most expensive town we cover, around ₪2.33M on average, because most homes are houses with gardens. Shlomi averages around ₪1.42M and has the highest locality tax credit we found: 20% on earned income up to ₪259,920 (2026).

Good to know

  • Both towns are near the Lebanese border; Shlomi was evacuated during the 2023–24 war. Check that any home has a safe room.
  • Public transport is limited; plan on a car.
